Learn from PTC and Traffic Exchange sites
As a web designer I always look all at web pages from a design point of view and as an internet marketer I look for ideas for pages and sites that work.
Viewing PTC (Paid to Click) or Traffic Exchange sites can become tedious, especially if you have enough work with the business opportunities that you already belong to and are not seeking more. You can still take advantage of your surfing to improve your own performance.
While you are viewing pages, waiting for those seconds to tick along BE AWARE and LEARN, adding valuable resources to your own personal marketing toolchest. Keep in mind the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action) principle.
What you can learn from viewing PTC sites:
How to sell
- Sales techniques and pitches especially from the more experienced and successful
- How a page tries to develop a relationship with you
- How it captures your attention
- Which page on a site are you viewing – main site, sub page, splash or lead capture page?
Language and Structure:
- key words used
- attention grabbing titles, titles that wow
- vocabulary,
- grammar,
- syntax (sentence construction),
- paragraph layout,
- where to use bullet points rather than sentences.
- use of a non-passive voice
Design and Layout
- overall design and appeal
- how professional it looks
- colors and color contrast (is it easy on the eye, does it suit color challenged viewers?)
- images
- text types, colors and size
- use of headings – where to use h1 h2 h3 … headings or just bold and colored text,
- use of white space (too much clutter detracts from your target areas)
- simplicity of navigation (users have to easily find what you want them to)
- does it suit the market and users for which it is intended?
- Which hosting sites to use
- Use of videos
- Use of pop-ups and opt-ins
This of course applies to all websites you view but please take advantage of it during your PTC and Traffic Exchange surfing.
